Insightful
“The Monk Who Knew the Code was originally a book I was trying to read to learn more about a self-help book, but it's a lot more than that! There are so many times that Aarav's story was relatable. The aspect of the author that was most enjoyable was his ability to communicate spiritual ideas in simple and straightforward language without using mumbo-jumbo. Read this if you have ever felt mentally fatigued, distracted or got stuck in the work / life routine.”
Happy tears!
“The book made me shed some tears of relief, realisation, understanding, introspection, silence, pause, reflections and more. The journey to the self is more than just a mere book. I am awed at the beauty of things mentioned in the book with such simplicity and clarity. Akash Jha, I feel blessed to know you through this book.”
7 Rules of Life Everyone Must Know
“Aarav's journey beautifully reflects the hidden burnout and emotional struggles many corporate professionals face today. I loved how the story blended healing, spirituality, and self-discovery through the powerful 7 codes taught by Sant Anant in the Himalayas. It is an inspiring read that reminds readers that true success comes with inner peace and self-worth.”
Story of revival
“The story begins in the well known frame, but soon becomes free of stereotypes. The guru asks to detox from mobiles, and then refers some modern books, and finally to Bhagavadgita. Some serious falls ahead, and then a calm confident Arav becomes supporter of others through his NGO. A nice mix of new and old teaching, with an engaging story.”
In my top favorite 2h reads
“Loved it! Very well written both in story and character development. Kriya and Aarav really grew on me. Would definitely recommend!”
A good read
“The author has written this book in the form of a novel where a depressed software engineer goes in search of life's meaning in the Himalayas. Here, he meets a Guruji who explains to him the 7 important codes to crack life.”
A structured framework for self-reflection
“This book presents self-reflection through a clear and structured framework of seven life codes. I resonated with the questioning approach toward purpose, meditation, and spirituality, especially the idea of understanding things logically before fully embracing them. The tone is gentle and reflective. Overall, it's a thoughtful read for those who prefer calm, methodical inner-growth journeys over fast motivation.”
Self-reflection entangled in fiction
“The story flows through a relatable journey of the protagonist Aarav who's successful on the outside but still figuring out the world inside. The theme revolves around self awareness, mindfulness, mental clarity and purpose of living, with a deep dive into ancient and modern teachings that feel personal rather than alien. Highly recommended for readers of inspirational, spiritual fiction — anyone with overwhelming emotions will find comfort and gentle guidance here.”
